BFD Review:
Best band: Fun. They put on the best show and Some Nights wins the best song of the night. I hate to write this but fun. the band had the most fun at the concert. fun. put on a good show and had a good time. They also played most of my favorite songs from the second album. I do wish they had played some stuff from there first album.
Runner Up: Of Monsters and Men. Solid set from this band. Played all the best songs from there album and seem to have a good time doing it. They did play right after a emo/metal band, so that crowd wasn’t ready for a fork band to play but they powered through and put on an amazing show.
New band I liked: Walk the Moon. Never heard of this band but they did have a solid set. I enjoyed most of there set and plan to buy there album now.
Band that I want to see again: Cake. Cake put on a good show but on a crappy big stages. I want to see them again but on a much smaller stage. Cake also didn’t play most of their classic songs which was ok this time but next time I see them they better play the distance. Also by seeing Cake I finish another high school dream. I am slowly seeing every band I like in High School live. I’ve already seen Metallica, Linkin Park, Bush, MxPx, and Green day. I still need to see Tool to complete the list.
Funniest band: Falling in Reverse. This band was a emo band trying to be Metal. The whole band was dressed like 80’s rockers trying to be serious while singing really whiny lyrics, it was probably one of the funniest things I’ve seen in awhile. Tenacious D was wrong, Emo will destroy metal.
Worst band: Angels and Airwaves. I was really excited to see this band since I heard they put on a amazing show but I was really disappointed instead. Tom DeLonge vocal mic was very low, so you couldn’t understand any of the lyrics. Also the instruments sound seemed to be a little fuzzy, which didn’t help much. Now Tom is 2 for 2 with worse bands I’ve seen live.
